Advanced electrical modalities and therapeutic technologies for pain relief, tissue healing, and functional recovery. Our clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art electrotherapy equipment operated by trained physiotherapists.
Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation
Low-voltage electrical currents delivered through electrodes placed on the skin to relieve pain. TENS works by stimulating sensory nerves to block pain signals and promote the release of endorphins — the body's natural painkillers.
Interferential Therapy
Medium-frequency electrical currents that intersect and produce a low-frequency therapeutic effect deep within tissues. IFT is highly effective for reducing pain, inflammation, and muscle spasms while improving blood circulation.
Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation
Targeted electrical impulses used to activate weakened or paralysed muscles. This therapy helps prevent muscle atrophy, improves muscle strength, and aids in re-education of muscles following injury or surgery.
Medium-Frequency Burst Stimulation
A form of electrical muscle stimulation using medium-frequency alternating current delivered in bursts. Originally developed for athletes, it produces strong muscle contractions to build strength and improve muscle tone.
Therapeutic Ultrasound
High-frequency sound waves penetrate deep into tissues to produce thermal and non-thermal effects. Ultrasound therapy accelerates tissue healing, reduces scar tissue formation, and provides pain relief for soft tissue injuries.
Infrared Radiation Treatment
Infrared light provides superficial heat to the affected areas, increasing blood flow and promoting tissue relaxation. It effectively relieves muscle stiffness, joint pain, and prepares tissues for further therapeutic interventions.
Cold Therapy Treatment
Controlled application of cold to reduce swelling, inflammation, and pain. Cryotherapy constricts blood vessels to minimise tissue damage after acute injuries and is highly effective for post-surgical recovery and sports injuries.
Shortwave Electromagnetic Therapy
High-frequency electromagnetic energy that produces deep heating in tissues. Shortwave diathermy is used to treat deep-seated musculoskeletal conditions, reduce pain, improve joint mobility, and accelerate the healing of chronic injuries.
Continuous Passive Motion (Knee Fluctuation Machine)
A motorised device that gently and continuously moves the knee joint through a prescribed range of motion. CPM helps prevent joint stiffness after knee surgery, reduces pain and swelling, and promotes cartilage healing.
Spinal Decompression Therapy
Controlled pulling forces applied to the spine to relieve pressure on compressed nerves and discs. Traction therapy helps treat herniated discs, sciatica, and spinal stenosis by creating space between vertebrae.
Targets the lower back (lumbar spine). Effective for treating lower back pain, sciatica, herniated lumbar discs, and degenerative disc disease. The patient lies down while the device gently stretches the lumbar region.
Targets the neck (cervical spine). Used to relieve neck pain, cervical radiculopathy, and nerve compression. Gentle upward forces decompress the cervical vertebrae, reducing pain and restoring range of motion.
Our expert physiotherapists will assess your condition and recommend the most suitable electrotherapy treatment plan for you.
